Having read Neverwhere, I'm not sure I'd call it a "scary," book. It's not even particularly halloweeney, really.

Thinking The Graveyard Book would be a better choice. More a Hallowe'en-esque story. I read a while back Ron Howard had it in works for a movie, think it would be excellent.

Yeah... I didn't think it was scary either, but the theme wasn't horror and what some people find scary is different than what I find scary, so I felt I should leave it in. The person that nominated it said it sounded scary to her in the blurb.

I have a question: Was not Neverwhere already a BOTM in April (poll # 21) ? I actually don't remember, but I saw it on the bookshelf and also in the poll ....

Bugger...you're right. I looked it up, but I' missed it. Thanks, Silvia. I have an idea, but I'll have to think more about how I want to handle that.

Neither seem to have been a book of the month and they're very good books that are good at provoking discussion.
I am just curious about how Neverwhere is going to be managed, but here is an idea (which can work depending on if the discussion is just hidden and not deleted): You can just reopen the existent dicussion for Neverwhere, because there is already a discussion and then open a new discussion for the book in second place. Again , I don't know if this is poosible.

That's actually what I'm planning to do, Silvia, assuming the poll stays the way it is. Have a re-visit of Neverwhere and the 2nd place book will be a BotM. That solves the issue of having a book that was already BotM as well as getting a scarier book for the theme.
