Poll

Difficult choice for me this time. I already read Throne of Glass this year and Fifth Season last year. I could re-read Good Omens as it was a long time ago. Locke and Myth are on my TBR and Krampus seems interesting. No idea what to choose, too many good books :p

There are a lot of good books on the list. I didn't want to just blindly choose the book I suggested so I looked at all of them before voting. My final decision came down simply to not wanting to start a new series. I have dozens that I am working on already. So that narrowed it down to two, Krampus and Good Omen. I love a good Santa story, and I love demons but the combination in Krampus just felt a bit too dark for me. So that left Good Omens. I guess my first choice was the best choice for me. :-)

I've already read 2, but I love Throne of Glass and Good Omens was a funny read :D I wouldn't mind re-reading them. The Lies of Locke Lamora is on my tbr, though.

Throne of Glass is the only one of those I have any interest in, but I'm not sure I'll be participating this time anyway. My plan for the rest of the year is pretty tight!

I initially voted for Good Omens, but after watching the poll, changed my vote to The Lies of Locke Lamora. I'd much rather participate in a group that's not part of a series, but at one point I had Lamora on my 2017 reading list for consideration. it seems really good.

I have conceded defeat for my suggestion, Good Omens (also, I discovered it was a Gaiman co-creation and I have had NO luck with Gaiman books soooooo, never mind.) Threw my support over to Locke Lamora as I might read that if the group chooses it and I am very unlikely to read the other choices.

That is my plan if it wins. I have four books that I "have" to read before Locke Lamora AND my insomnia is giving me a momentary reprieve so the likelihood that Locke would get finished before Jan is slim to none. It will have to go on next year's reading list. Perhaps we could use it as a week 3 book you meant to read in 2016 ( well I meant to FINISH it in 2016 anyway), a week 7 book with an animal on the cover or in the title (I see birdies!), a week 22 book by an author you haven't read before, a week 26 adventure book, a week 29 book published outside the 4 major publishing houses, OR a week 52 book set in a fictional location, etc. So many possibilities!

Even if I didn't vote for it, I'm happy Locke won, because I planned to read it next year anyway. I don't know if I'll have time in December, but if not I'll read it first thing in January and still be able to answer the questions ;)
