There are the two covers I have made for Jalendu. The book is both historical fiction and historical gay romance in equal measure. Which one do you think is better?

I think that the first cover may appeal more to people who like mystery or travel literature, the 2nd to people who read romance. I prefer the first myself.
I'd carry on looking if I were you.
How about searching out an old photo of a setting in your time period and adding it to option 2?
