message 5: by Padders (new)

Padders gaaaaaah damn it, I have been needing a reason to read NOS4A2 for months, this could be it! But I have Revival on order and should be here in a few days!!!!

Going to go with NOS4A2 because I will more than likely dive straight into Revival as soon as it comes!

I have this one, and I need to work on my TBR stack too.

message 7: by Robert (new)

Robert Mingee Yeah, I'm voting based on what I haven't read as well. NOS4A2 is a great choice, but I've read it. December Park actually has nothing to do with December or Christmas, but it is an amazing book I highly recommend. But I went for Dark Places, since I've been meaning to read a Gillian Flynn book, and I never got around to reading Gone Girl before seeing the movie.

message 8: by Catster (new)

Catster Oh, man. I absolutely loved Dark Places, NOS4A2 and Revival, but I've read them so recently(especially the last one) that I'll be missing it this month.

Will definitely read the comments tho! :)

Deborah I've voted for Revival and fully intend to participate in the discussion, but our library's copies are still on order. If it doesn't make it, I'll have to drop out.

The mere mention of Revival makes my skin crawl.

message 11: by Bear (new)

Bear I vote NOS4A2 just because I recently bought it and it's already on my december tbr and Joe Hill is phonomenal.

Mauoijenn I voted for NOS4A2 as this story is taking place around the holidays!!!! Im also reading this book next month as a buddy read, so the more the merrier. :)

message 13: by Rob (new)

Rob Twinem Def like to join in this one and voted for Stephen King great reviews here in the UK. It looks a thoughtful, insightful and intelligent read and I'm sure it will top the voting list :))

message 14: by Dani (new)

Dani I read most of these, but will tag along for fun!

message 15: by Mauoijenn (new)

Mauoijenn Either way this pans out. I will be reading both King and his son Hill's books along with the other special selection of the month. :)

message 16: by James (new)

James Mertz looks like a battle between father and son. I enjoyed Dark places, IMHO better than Gone Girl

message 17: by L (last edited Nov 18, 2014 03:35PM) (new)

L Was looking through Dark Places on Amazon, and I'm really stunned at how well written the first few pages are, and I'm intrigued by the critical acclaim it's garnered.

But, I had to vote for NOS4A2. Been meaning to read some Joe Hill for a very long time now, and I can't help but vote for something Christmas themed. Dark Places is on my priority book list now though.

Sidenote: Reading Revival now, and so far it's been outstanding. May end up being one of my top 5 King books.

message 18: by Myst (new)

Myst Wow, it's neck and neck between father and son.

11811 (Eleven) I just finished Revival but still voted for it because I really need to talk about it. Therapists would be welcome to join.
