I didn't vote for it because I've already read it, but The Orphan Master's Son is the best book I've read in probably 10 years. It's the only book I've ever written an Amazon review for and the only book I've ever written directly to the author about.

Jason -- I always hesitate nominating a book when I haven't read it and I even sometimes stumble on voting for such a book if the tally is close. What am I asking others to commit to reading? A group read is not just for oneself. My f2f club used to require that two members had read a book and recommended it before we would select it. (Reviews are good enough and the group small enough that we have eased that requirement.) I do hope you will join the discussion, especially given your enthusiastic recommendation.
