I clicked Ron Weasley but after saw the Marauders were an option! So the Marauders definitely. But I don't think it should be a series, more like a one off story. But to be honest I wouldn't mind if JK left the series as it is, any other sidebooks might change our view on the main series.
But if she did release something on the Marauders, I would be first in line to buy it.

Mary Bennett from Pride and Prejudice. Amongst her sisters, she's the plain, bookish one who is desperate to emulate her prettier, sisters who have, between them, all the talents young ladies of the day were supposed to display. Perhaps she fools herself (the singing), sometimes she sounds priggish....but wouldn't it be wonderful if her sisters' happy marriages and Lydia's less happy experiences allowed her to develop from being doomed to be her mother's drudge into someone who finds fulfilment in her own intelligence!?

i still think there are some holes in the story that if J.K.R wants to continue the story should explain about them, as you said for example the Bloody Baron and the Greg lady :)

It was sad to see her being laughed at and dismissed all the time.

But the question mentions the new Harry Potter short story first implying that it is supposed to be what we would like J.K Rowling to write next? J.K Rowling picture is also shown next to the question implying the question involves her. It is not exactly stated that it is supposed to be HP based but it is implied.
I have an idea.. Draco Malfoy dies(or disappear), under weird circumstances, and Harry Potter gets contacted since the writ of Malfoy states that Harry shall become the guardian of his son in case of his death..
Perplexed Harry accepts, because .. well.. he is harry potter and its the right thing to do..
Now Malfoy jr. most struggle to win the trust of the second generation of Dumbledore's Army, while trying to uncover what happened to his father and potentially redeem his family name..
If the mystery somehow have something to do with the founders of Hogwarts and some dormant plan of Voldemort, that would be gratifying..
I wonder if J.K Rowling chose Gandalf because he is the actor of Dumbledore in Harry Potter….

True. My first thought was it's HP-only question. Then seeing non-HP character names, I decided it must be a general question. Personally, I like it better if it's a general question. If not, we should have a general question version and stop polluting this one.

I also took this poll, but then thought it'd be great to learn about the war and what it was like when Harry Potter's parents were in school, and how they fell in love and everyone that came before Harry, Ron, and Hermione.
Don't get me wrong, I loved the Harry Potter novels but didn't J K Rowling say that she wouldn't be milking HP and writing any more novels about it after the last one?
I voted for the Marauders. Personally, I do feel that Harry's story is done; I got closure, and there doesn't seem to be any more conflict for him to really deal with. If anything, I feel that another HP-related novel should either focus on the Next Generation or the Marauders. Writing a prequel would give us a LOT more insight to the relationships between the Marauders, Lily, Snape, and other characters, and can really build on the first wizarding war.Haven't read any of her other stories so I wouldn't be able to say for those(and I'm a bit confused as to why characters that are most certainly not hers are on here... particularly ones that haven't lost their copyright).

I agree! I would really like to read about the next generation, although reading about the previous generation would be interesting as well.
Harry Potter has passed, and a story with his sons risk to be only another potterlike story. I'd be curious to read a good prequel, so I voted for the founder of Hogwarts.
What's with this list? Each Harry Potter character's name was repeated like three or four times. When will you people just move on and let this series rest? I think it ended on a perfect enough note to please everybody. The only ones that sounded worth an entire book were the founders of Hogwarts - now that would be an interesting story.And I voted Roland of Gilead because that would actually legitimately deserve a book with an explanation about what on earth happened to him at the end of the series.

If you have an issue with some the names that is your right, however you could still respect everyone else's rights to their opinions without being rude or insulting about them.

More importantly, I think Ms. Rowling might have more success if she tried writing about Harry's children and Hermione and Ron's children. Make a 2nd generation novel. Leave the parents in the shadows. Focus on the children.
