“Listen, I don’t know that he does have anything to do with your mother. I just remember his name because when I looked into him all those years ago, he was living in Arizona. It struck me as odd because of Reese’s trips.”
WOndering if his mom is in a psychiatric hospital out in Arizona or if he put her there and then she eventually died.
With his lips still on mine, licking urgent desire into my soul with every swipe of his tongue, he hooks a finger through the soaked fabric of my underwear and tears it away from my body. He breaks the kiss and brings the ruined scrap to his face. The scent of my arousal wafts between us, and my nipples harden when a mischievous glint takes over his eyes. “Open up, princess.”
It’s short but unhurried, which seems to be a perfect description of us. Small bursts of time together, of belonging to each other, that burn bright and fizzle out while we savor every second of the flame.
