The soldier doesn't move or speak, and I assume he doesn’t know the common tongue. The Goblin King himself doesn't speak it, and it’s obviously not the language used in his lands, so there’s no reason to assume otherwise.

The artwork in it is stunning, ink paintings of golden leaves falling to the ground, red and yellow flowers decorating the pages. It's a beautiful representation of the equinox that quickly approaches.

9/18/24 Um, he’s right about what? I don’t remember a question or comment about this. It’s been several paragraphs since he even spoke.
That man owes me lives, dozens of them, and the Fates have promised him to me. Heartache and ruin may follow in the wake of my ill-Fated marriage, but I will see my coven avenged. I only hope that, from where she rests in Elysium, my mother will forgive me for how far I’ve fallen from the Ravenswyrd way.
9/18/24 A few things here. 1st She came with the intention to destroy Kharl, but never voiced that all this time, even after them going to the forest and seeing the massacre. 2nd It seems like she just said it was her fate to kill Kharl and that’s another thing that should have been voiced to these people who believe in the Fates. 3. How could her mother be disappointed in her for something the Fates have set out for her to do?
I'm awake and preparing supplies, cutting linens into strips and boiling hot water to ensure they’re clean and ready for wounds, moving the tinctures around obsessively on the shelves to ensure the healing and pain management vials are within easy reach, keeping myself busy in the only productive way I can as doom grows thicker around us all.
9/18/24 Why doesn’t she train some maids? She can’t be the only healer in this place with all these people of war comes. She would also need to fight. And so would Reed.
