“You were the one pushing me away. If you were paying attention, you would have understood.”
Tatiana Ferrell liked this
His grin. Oh my goodness, his grin
Perhaps a slight disappointment trickled through at hearing Aidan wasn’t working today.
Aidan’s smile strobed in my thoughts.
but Aidan was so near now, I couldn’t be torn away.
“I should tell you I’m sorry. I’m sorry about the party and how things played out. I’m sorry about a lot, but mostly how I’ve been…unfair to you. I took sides with Matt when I didn’t have to. I didn’t want to.”

his fingers were entwined in mine.
I quickly moved to retract my hand, but Aidan squeezed back.

“You deserve better than him.”
“You deserve better. I wish you could see it.”
his voice a calming buoy in a rowdy sea.
One step, and I shifted into his body’s heat. Saying nothing, Aidan slid his arms around me. I pressed in, my arms still at my sides, a statue with no life-giving wires to bring it animation. Without another word, he hugged me.
Crushing hard.
When I came into view of Aidan, my breath caught.
it was pretty hot.
Aidan’s cheeks flamed red.
not daring to look Aidan’s way or I’d disintegrate into a pile of charred crumbs.
I immediately called up the texture of his skin against mine.
