I was nervous about eloping, but as we sit here and make plans together, I know in my heart this is perfect for us.

“She wants people to see that her only son is getting married.” “Our love isn’t a spectacle, Sunshine. It should be people who’ve been there for us.”

All that partying shit is fun until it isn’t.

I didn’t believe in soul mates until her soul whispered to mine.

“Ace, I found a home in you. Wherever we are, as long as I’m with you, I will always be home. I promise you’ll always know love because I’ve loved you across lifetimes and will fiercely love you in this one and beyond.”

“Sunshine, there aren’t enough words in any language to express how much I love you. It’s indescribable, but I can make sure you feel it. With everything that I am, I promise to show you every day for the rest of my days how much I love you. You’re the heartbeat in my chest and the blood in my veins.”

I feel like I’m high. Our love is the best drug.

“Just so you know… I’d fight your mama over you.” We crack up, but we also know we’d go to war for each other. And that’s love.

What matters is that you confide in one another because, at the end of the day, it’s about you two creating a life together. Remember, you’re committed to each other–not everyone else.”
