The book fell open in my palms to a bookmarked page. There was also a highlighted passage. Funny, I thought as I started to read, I never thought Ruben would— My thoughts scattered suddenly. I renamed it The Green Light so that my longing had a tangible place in my life. So that it could be a constant reminder of what I lost and what I still wanted.
