Rest Is Resistance: A Manifesto

May we have space to navigate our lives from a liberated rest state.

Capitalism was created on plantations. The roots of it are violence and theft. We as a culture gloss over this historical truth.

Sleep deprivation is a public health issue and a spiritual issue.

A grieving person is a healed person.

We are not resting to be productive. We are resting simply because it is our divine right to do so.

social media is an extension of capitalism.

the systems make us hard and machine-like. Rest keeps us tender and there is power in our tenderness and care.

I call my daydreaming brain love.

There is massive knowledge and wisdom lying dormant in our exhausted and weary bodies and hearts.
