Souls often leave their human hosts moments before actual death when their bodies are in great pain.

Julia Mikes
Ah! Why can’t we associate death with this: the end of pain? Yeah sure, it’s not a new idea but it never gets a center stage and I really think it should. Then we would celebrate instead of mourn.

That’s rather surprising. I always thought of death as “falling into shadow”.

Physical things such as shrines, boats, animals, trees, or ocean beaches can be conjured up at the center of these dances as well.
Julia Mikes
I was wondering when this came up. So animals and trees are "things we conjure up". You lost me there cuz i ain't going where there are no cats and dogs. And i may have few real convictions but i KNOW that they are more than just "things".

I began by regressing the subject rapidly through a series of early lives starting from his first life as a Cro-Magnon man in a Stone Age culture some 30,000 years ago.
Julia Mikes
Seems to suggest that souls go through their lives in a historically chronological order. That sounds rather limiting. I was under the impression that linear time that flows in one direction is just our limited perception… that it’s entirely possible that all things happen simultaneously and one soul can live multiple lives in the same time in different incarnations. Perception is key here and it opens up the question about perceived time in-between lives. In any case, this is a big question mark.

When you acquired your particular identity as a soul, did that automatically mean you were slated for Earth incarnations in human form? S: Not specifically, no. Planets don’t last forever.
Julia Mikes
Seems to imply that albeit planets don’t last forever, souls do. Forever is a long time dude. Freaky.

Dr. N: Earth is considered severe? S: Yes. On some worlds you must overcome physical discomforts— even suffering. Others lean toward mental contests. Earth has both. We get kudos for doing well on the hard worlds.
Julia Mikes
This paints a bleak picture. The good news is that suffering always have meaning and purpose. The bad news is, we are going to suffer through countless lives, basically we were created to suffer. Growth seems to come only through pain. What a drag.

From what I am able to determine, souls are expected to begin familiarizing themselves with the forces of creation by the time they are solidly established in Level III.
Julia Mikes
So do I understand this correctly? Souls of higher levels participate in creation?! That actually blows my mind.

As a watcher-teacher, what is the one quality which An-ras has acquired which you want to see in Ojanowin? S: (no hesitation) Adaptability to change.

That’s a bit surprising but also… makes sense. I wish I could develop that ability as well…

amnesia is imposed upon us when we come into a current life, so that past life experiences will not inhibit self-discovery in the present. The same condition holds true for souls examining future lives.
Julia Mikes
I can understand (somewhat) that remembering past lives could interfere with immersing in this one. But I still argue that knowing about the assignment at least would help. As it is, I feel like I have to give an exam when I don’t even know what the subject is. Blindfolded. On a minefield.

If we have just come off an easy life, making little interpersonal progress, our soul might want to choose a person in the next time cycle who will face heartache and perhaps tragedy.
Julia Mikes
I just abhor this idea, that the only way of learning is through pain. Challenge - yes. But pain?! Always pain? That's just such a miserable outlook that I flatly refuse to align with it.
