Well okay, I don't understand this distinction between the soul - as an inhabitant, and the body as a vessel with a brain - a mind! - of its own. Sounds like invasion of the body snatchers to me. Whoever "me" is in this equation...
Once birth has taken place, the union of spirit and flesh has been fully solidified into a partnership. The immortal soul then becomes the seat of perception for the developing human ego.
