One of the saddest things I learned on my journey is that in this life, no one gives you anything for free. They always want something in exchange: it’s human nature.
On that path, there is no turning back. You either make it alive or you die trying.
It says in the Qur’an that all things are predestined.
There is no doubt in my mind that I’m one of the luckiest people in the entire world, if only because I’m alive and present, here and now.
It’s just that the good people make less noise.
The overall goal of NASCO Feeding Minds is to improve the situation in Ghana so that young people don’t feel the need to migrate to Europe. I don’t want anyone else to suffer like I did on my journey; no one should have to die traversing the desert or crossing the ocean.
