Looking back, this is so clearly the kind of wonderful rite of passage that I had always wanted, but I didn’t recognise it at the time because I didn’t think being normal could hurt so much.

Speech is not free when it comes at such a cost.

Because trauma won’t leave you alone until you feel safe, and safety is not something that an individual can summon on their own.

I have a great big universe of stuff inside of me. None of it is gendered.
