The truly foundational aspects of our experience – starting with consciousness itself – belong to the realm of things which permit no ultimate resolution. Indeed, some measure of our understanding of what we are dealing with is, precisely, the awareness that it forever exceeds our grasp. Not to be aware of the limits of our grasp of reality is folly, pure and simple.
