The renowned British philosopher argued that the commonsense hypothesis that objects in the external world are real is the simplest explanation of our observations. By comparison, the dream hypothesis is extremely complicated. Presumably he would say the same about the simulation hypothesis. In general, we should accept the simplest explanation of our observations and reject overly complicated explanations. So we should accept the real-world hypothesis and reject the simulation hypothesis.
