Ahh, so today was going to be a yoga day. Lord, I fucking loved yoga day. I moved around the shed to the rose garden so I would have a good view of what he was doing but could work at the same time.
I stopped being grateful to people for pretending they gave a shit a long time ago. Damn, that statement was telling. It made me wonder if Gavin was difficult because he was spoiled, as I had assumed, or if maybe I had him all wrong.

As soon as he turned, Gavin reached for the check with one hand and his wallet with the other. “I have this, precious,” I said, reaching for the check. He glanced up at me, looking so confused. “But I always pay. That’s just the way it works.” “That’s the way what works, precious?” “The way it works with all my friends, and all my dates, and well, with everybody.
