“I will make it up to you.” She arched a brow and commanded, “Swear it.” Hades’s eyes simmered beneath the glow of the crystal lights. “Oh, darling. You don’t need to extract an oath. Nothing will keep me from fucking you.”
“Pause the movie!” “You’ve seen this a hundred times!” “Pause it!” she threatened playfully. “Or I’ll turn you into basil.”
“Are you saying you wouldn’t fight for me?” Hades sighed and brushed his finger along her cheek. “Darling, I would burn this world for you.”
Persephone felt right at home.
I have existed so long alone, made every decision alone. I am not used to sharing anything with anyone.”
“I’ll give you ten points if you hit someone,” Hermes offered. “Is that supposed to entice me?” Lexa asked. “Uh, yeah, they’re Divine points.” “What do Divine points get me?” Lexa asked, as if she were seriously considering his offer. “A chance to be a goat,” he answered.
“You are a fiery little mortal. I could use someone like you.” “Speak further, Nephew, and you will have no reason to fear her threat, because I will tear you to pieces.”
“I will forever regret my anger. How could I ever question your love? Your trust? Your word? When you have my heart.”
“Marry me.”
“I said please.” Her voice was venom.
