Choose wisely, Dragon born. The greatest treasure is the hardest won.
My thumping pulse picked up speed for a wholly different reason as I drank her in. Long, black hair tumbled down her spine, her green eyes turned up towards the curving roof as she drank in the sight of the building she was in. Her lips were full and primed for tasting, but the set of her mouth said she was more used to frowning than smiling. She was without a doubt, the most stunning creature I'd ever laid my eyes upon and I couldn't help but stare at her as she moved deeper into the room with the other students.
My fist clenched as I met her green gaze and it felt like a shot of power snapped from her soul right into mine. I was held captive there, wanting her and hating her for it. Hating her for all the reasons I knew I had to hate her, but just fucking wanting her all the same. Fuck.
Kylie supressed a laugh while a vicious grin curled up my lips. I didn’t make her participate in the initiation ‘cause I was nice like that. Her tits looked top dollar tonight too which helped. And I considered this my apology for the rampant sex party I’d had the moment I got back to the academy.
My eyes snapped to her. “The one who has tried to individualise herself by dyeing the ends of her hair blue. It has failed by the way.” The only thing it’s ensured is that I can’t stop thinking about what it would look like spilled across my pillow while my hand is braced against the wall above her. Stop.
I found she was also gifted with a line called the Ring of Solomon which curved beneath her index finger. I frowned as I examined the rare line, the marking indicating a Fae who was self-sacrificing and good at heart.
The markings spoke of a significant love in her life that would be wrought with hardship and emotional turmoil. It was split in places which indicated the worst of those hardships and the end of it was muddled with so many intersecting lines that it was hard to tell whether the love continued beyond them or if the relationship ended abruptly within those trials.
She was mine. I mean, her blood was mine.
His grey eyes glazed for a second as he fell into a vision and when he refocused, he glanced at the back of the couch like he’d seen something there and surprise crossed his features. “Blue means you…holy shit,” he muttered under his breath.
A laugh tumbled from my chest and Francesca gaped at me. “How’s that funny? My colleague died, Lance,” she said in horror. “Right yeah, it was just how he died that was amusing,” I tried to cover my ass. “Being blasted to pieces in front of his family by a maniac?” Great. He had to die horrifically, didn’t he? Couldn’t have died drowning in a whirlpool of Griffin shit. Selfish bastard. “Er-” I drained my whiskey. “Another drink?”
"Did you at least let her feel the full power of a Dragon between her thighs and the dominance of our kind bending her to submit to your will? Did you take her body and use it like the beast you were born to be and force her to understand what it is to be owned by the king of all Orders?"
I'd been avoiding her for a damn good reason and as my cock jerked like it wanted to salute her in greeting, I was forcefully reminded why.
Seth clapped his hands excitedly, waving a hand in the air. "I volunteer as tribute! I'm gonna make her fall in love with me so hard that she'll be panting all over my cock by the night of the party. Then bam, like a ninja with more than just a single weapon between my thighs I'll strike and cut her hair clean off. Bye bye hair, bye bye dignity, bye bye Vega."
