I can sleep during the day and stay up all night. You know how I love night. The darkness. The stars. Houses all lit up inside. Everything is clean and quiet and peaceful in the dark. You can’t see all the dirt and the trash and the scars everywhere, on everything, on everybody. So many scars. Night is clean. Night is safe. So I stay awake and pretend this is what the world looks like all the time.
