Strange way of writing ..begins to be odd references to how time works!. Starts in 1883, then 1884, then on page 136 Mori’s diary was ordered only vaguely clustered e.g. 12th April 1871 is next to 14th June. 1884 as though they had both been written at the same time…Had Mori visited 14th June twice??? (Book 12)
Then in part 21 Mori is in Tokyo in 1882 before the rest of the events in the earlier part of the;book.part 22 is back in London in 1884.
