‘Time to get that Action Book out.’
I’m still thinking Ruth, but food for thought… I don’t think I’ve ever read a whodunnit with a similar storyline where in the end it was a tragic accident. There are no doubt some, but none I’ve read.
I do remember watching a tv show though that looked into deaths & using forensics to solve deaths, this one time it looked like this woman had been stabbed & left where she lay. There were all these looks into different things, but in the end they deduced, & this is a TRUE crime, she was carrying a knife along with other items, she tripped, fell & fatally stabbed herself!
That ⬆️ always stayed with me, it was just sad & tragic, oh yeah & I’m very careful when I move around with sharp objects!
The rain was falling unbothered by wind, just thick planks of the stuff falling to the ground, and Harry could see it approaching, marching almost, across the fields.
I’ve never seen rain like that until I’ve been staying in this hotel (house wrecked by flood, insurance paying) but this room has a massive window around 1/2 the side of the room & it’s on the 2nd floor, & I’ve sat here seeing it rain in the distance, with binoculars, bought since I moved in here, and it’s a strange sight to see the rain move towards you, cool, but weird.
‘Inheritance does funny things to people,’ sighed Firbank.
It does, when my grandad died, there was a big family fight, I guess you’d call it, about who got what, when I learned all about it I told my Dad to just tell them I didn’t want anything, that I didn’t want to be drawn into something so disgusting as fighting over money when someone we loved had died.
People, well some people, wonder about their character & how they’d act under different circumstances. I certainly didn’t say that to earn that knowledge about myself, but I learnt it nonetheless & I know I can be proud of who I am regardless of many other things.
