Pointing this out is in itself a challenge to global power structures; at the same time, though, it frames the issue in a way that people who benefit from those structures can still find ultimately reassuring, since it implies no meaningful solution to the problem would ever be possible.
Pointing out [[inequality]] amongst the have and have-nots is reassuring to the people at top because it means there is no solution, so they're safe.
