A disease is much like a prison, though it consumes from the inside. The same can be said for denial.

I don’t like to think about all the problems I have. Denial works much better. It’s like a warm, cozy blanket that protects you from the cold, unforgiving hands of the unknown. Self-awareness is overrated.
