Before I Saw You

When I close my eyes and picture you, I see someone so strong. I see someone who’s brave. Someone whose life has forced them to become so fiercely independent that they shut out everyone who wants to get close to them. I see someone who, behind all those walls and facades, is filled with so much kindness and love that it’s breathtaking.

Our scars are simply the marks of our stories. They show we’ve lived our life, and most of all that we have survived it. Don’t hide your story away in the shadows.’
