Why couldn’t people’s insides match their outsides? The world would be such a wonderful place if the nicer someone was, the more beautiful they became.
There were two kinds of spirituality, Ben felt. The first belonged to those who let their heart lead them, and who chose what fit with their worldview while disregarding what didn’t.
