“Gary reminds me of my grandpa,” Ava says as soon as Linda leaves. “I hated my grandpa.”
That means all there is to writing is just…writing. And it’s hard. It’s so hard.
Halfway Thoughts -
A creature (most likely greek in origin) that requires sacrifice every 7 years. Sounds like it walks on 2 legs but makes an animal-like sniffing sound. The park is a maze - minotaur? But invisible? Maybe it's only visible to the people who can be consumed.
Atrius (like Atreus, king of Mycenae, another Greek reference) used his paint like Theseus used thread to find his way to the temple.
The remaining survivors could kill the creature, if it is a minotaur.
First things first, though; he has to take care of all of them so they’ll know what a good friend he is.
If all the world is hell and evil is all around them, what else can they do but try to help each other?
Ava is so tired of being strong.
To the youngest generations we’ve tasked with saving us all: You shouldn’t have to. I’m so sorry.
