REJECTION DOS AND DON’TS Do: Be polite. Be clear. You can use some combination of “I don’t think we’re a romantic fit” or “I don’t think we’re the right match.” Make it short and sweet. You’re writing a polite heads-up note, not a manifesto on the perils of modern dating. (That’s my job, not yours!) Don’t: Say you want to be friends if you don’t mean it.
