the more familiar you become with something, whether it’s a skill or a subject, the likelihood that you will claim you are an expert diminishes. In other words, the deeper you get into something, the more you realize how much more there is to learn about it.
Never assume that you’ve made it and always aim to be better today than you were yesterday.
the 40% rule states that when the mind starts telling the body it’s tired, we have only reached 40% of what we are capable of. At this point, it’s up to you to choose to believe that you’ve still got another 60% left in you. Self-discipline is a lifestyle. It’s not something you put to use when you want to achieve a goal. Self-discipline should be embedded in your character.
Your character behind closed doors is more important than the character that people see in public.
