It’s hard to give a choice when I’m used to my orders being met, but for her, I will learn. Eventually.
As I kiss her, I know, I just know that there’s only one choice I would never give her. The choice to leave me.
Having Jonathan, Layla, and even Aiden and Levi and their wives, brings me a long-lost sense of peace that I’m ready to fight for with all my might.
It doesn’t matter how submissive she gets under my hand or in bed. Out of it, she’s a tigress ready to rip the world a new one — me included.
She does what her head tells her and tests my control every step of the way. Yet she’s the only woman who’s fit to be the queen of my empire.
With Aurora, it’s…belonging. Yes, I believe that’s the right word. She’s the first person who’s spoken to my soul without words. Which is weird as fuck since I always thought I lacked that — a soul, that is.
She crouches and gives me her ear so I can whisper, “When I grow up, can I marry him, too?” She laughs, the sound making Jonathan stare at us, and I hide behind Alicia again, my cheeks flaming. My sister ruffles my hair and whispers back, “If I’m not here, you have my permission.”
Jonathan kisses my forehead and my cheeks, then brushes his lips against mine in a brief, soul-shattering kiss. With every touch of his mouth against my skin, it’s like he’s reviving me back to the life that was nearly stolen away from me.
I snuggle my body into his embrace so effortlessly, as if I was always meant to be there. And I was. There’s no doubt in my mind that I always was.
I doubt there will be a day when I won’t stop and stare at him. He owns me in every single way — just like I own him. And it’s the best type of belonging I’ve ever felt.
I wrap my arms around his neck, fingers getting lost in his hair as I brush a kiss on his forehead.
“I’m not going anywhere.” “No?” “I’ve kind of gotten used to you. It’d be weird to get a different roommate.”
“And I’m glad I kept you, wild one. You flipped my world upside down and I enjoy every second of it. I don’t only love you, I’m obsessed with everything about you, and I’ll spend the rest of my life proving how much your presence means to me.”
“I love you, Jonathan.” I sigh. “I love you so much.”
We’re on Jonathan’s private island for our wedding. The island he named Aurora right after he told me I was staying with him and that was final. He can be so swoony, despite his tyrant nature.
From the beginning, Jonathan was never a fling. He was a beautiful disaster waiting to happen and I just fell into it. Then I changed him as much as he changed me.
He’s watching me with so much love, obsession, and adoration, it makes my toes curl.
My love. My tyrant. My everything.
He lifts the veil, eyes darkening with heat. “You’re officially mine now, Mrs King.” “And you’re mine, Mr King.”
“If you call me an old man again, I’m tempted to retaliate, and yes, Mrs King, proving you wrong is a pleasure.”
I waited so long for this woman, and now that I’ve found her, there’s no letting her go. Not now. Not ever.
Aurora is so obsessed with Aiden’s boy, and he uses her love for his son to his advantage by throwing him in our direction whenever he wants alone time with his wife.
Being a grandfather has brought new meaning to my life, and although Aurora can’t have children — and won’t, as per her decision — she’s content to raising Aiden’s and Levi’s.
The night Eli was born, Aurora led me to a closet in the hospital and told me the fact that I’d become a grandfather was a ‘turn-on’, fumbled with my belt, and didn’t stop until I was inside her. I had to place a hand over her mouth to muffle her screams.
“You’re my world.” She plants a kiss on my mouth. “How can you be left out of it?” “And you are mine.”
