She starts to smile. She’s the only one who’s known about the humongous crush I had on Farrow.
“You want anything to eat?” “The souls of my enemies,” she deadpans.
From gorgeous tattooed wings on his neck, to his nose and lip piercing, and bleach-white hair.
“I’m getting food for my family.” Farrow raises his brows. “I didn’t ask.” He’s an asshole, and I must be weird because I like that he’s not fawning all over me.
“You definitely said something, wolf scout.”
He’s the epitome of nonchalant coolness—and I’m never telling him that.
Whatever you forget, I’ll remember.
Every time I’ve been knocked down lately, he’s appeared…and I wanted him to stay.
“You forgot what I told you.” “What?” He smiles, one that flickers in and out. “On the yacht, I said you could keep the shirt.”
My brain is too obsessed with him, but I don’t want to admit to Farrow that I remember everything. Down to how he stacked beer cans in his hand and walked backwards while talking to me.
He’s looking at me like he’s obsessed with me.
He’s smiling knowingly, lovingly. “You want me to kiss you?” “No, I want to kiss you
“Just kidding. I thought about pushing you out of my bedroom window.” His brows ratchet up. “After I crawled up there to rock your world.”
“But here’s the thing, as long as you’re there with me, wolf scout, it’s impossible for our wedding day not to be perfect.”
Farrow has sought companionship and love since he was young, and I can easily see him craving to celebrate the love he shares with his future husband. That’s me.
I wish his father could love him as deeply as a father should love a son.
“I dreamed of a winter wedding. The snow, the cold. That was one of the things I dreamed up at thirteen—when I didn’t know who I’d marry.” His eyes redden. “But I’m marrying you, and the way you exist in the sun is the purest shit in the world.”
“I want to marry you in the summer, wolf scout.” I draw closer, our eyes all over each other. “Marry me in the summer then.”
and times like this, it kills me to put Maximoff second to anyone. I love the fuck out of him.
“Just ask Akara for that one temp with the chin dimple,” Maximoff says. “The butt chin,” I correct.
“You know me better than any guy ever has. You’re my person.” His chest collapses in a breath. “You know I feel the same.”
His love for his family has always been extremely sexy. And I’m going to be honest here: it makes me want to have kids with him. Badly.
the production team titled Episode 1 of the new season. Eh, it’s fine. Could be better; they could’ve gone with Wolf Scout & Yale Asshole. Maximoff would’ve liked that more.
Maximoff’s dad and uncle are running through a wooded state park for exercise. They slow.
“He’s in love with him,” Lo retorts. “Farrow is in love with my son.”
I just keep thinking about how I want to tell him, it’s okay. You’re right, I have Farrow, and there are two of us if the world caves in.”
The daycare. I smile at Maximoff. He’s eyeing my features. I lift and lower brows. “Want to have a kid with me, wolf scout?”
When it comes to our future together, Maximoff has always been the one with training wheels. I’m ready to blow past every stage just to be all domestic and shit with him.
“I’m surprised your dad let little kids play with DC toys.” “Begrudgingly. He always told my mom that they were doing a disservice to future generations by spoiling them with crap.”
Because the entire place smells like pool and orange peels. Chlorine and citrus. It’s become my favorite scent.
Maximoff Hale wants me more than even humanly possible, for eternity. That soul-deep, soul-clenching feeling will never grow old.
“Looking for me?” I chew gum, my smile stretching wider. Just to piss him off, I add, “Obsessed with me?” Agitation cinches his brows. “No and no.”
“I was looking for the other tattooed asshole.” I nod slowly. “The other tattooed asshole.”
“Yeah. Like a lamppost, you know slightly rusted, flickering out, in need of some triple A batteries.” I let out a laugh. “Lampposts don’t take triple As, but it’s cute how I lit up your world.”
I’m going to be his Winter Soldier. For decades. For life.
More than that, the way he’s staring at Jane—before he turns to me—is what she deserves. Just incomprehensible love and devotion.
Our future spouses are best friends. Our future kids will most likely be best friends. There are very few paths where he wouldn’t be in my life.
“Just no red velvet,” Maximoff says, and that makes me smile. He remembered I didn’t want red velvet.
Because the entire time I’ve been on Maximoff’s 24/7 detail, Lo has never asked his son to fill in for him. Not once.
You should know that I can survive in any universe, but I only want to live in the ones with Farrow Redford Keene.
His jaw muscle spasms like he’s biting down, territorial and protective of me.
“He’s memorable for you, which either means he hurt you or it was the best sex you’ve ever fucking had.” He winces. “For fuck’s sake, I honestly hope it’s neither.”
Everything hurts because I know I’m about to hurt him.
Batman & Robin plays on the living room TV,
“If you keep picturing my cock in your ass, you will be behind. Literally and figuratively.”
I’ve been really into bottoming lately. I’m aware. Highly aware.
and I wish you could see the way he’s staring at me. With utter, eviscerating love that deserves fanfare and centerfolds and documentaries just focusing on that one look.

“Because if I suddenly have a DC-related tattoo, there’ll be a fucking homicide. Hence, the indecision.”
“There’s only one tattoo I want, one I’d even consider, and it has to do with you.”
