“Am I late?” he asked Grayson. “One might suggest that you direct that query toward your watch.”
“What happened here?” he murmured. “I’m fine,” Libby said, sticking her chin out. “I can see that,” Nash replied softly. “But if you decide you’d like to give me a name? I’d take it.”
“It’s never too soon to start trash-talking.”
He didn’t move, didn’t blink, wasn’t physically aggressive in any way, but he bled power, and he knew it.
There were a lot of firsts I’d never gotten around to after my mother’s death. First dates. First kisses. First times. But this particular first—being dangled off a bridge by a boy who’d just confessed to watching his last girlfriend die—wasn’t exactly on the to-do list.
Crying in the shower didn’t count.

He only does things for money ... Either he did it bc someone offered him or bc he wanted the money to go to libby ... The question is if thats the case how did he know it would go to libby
foreseeable future? Crawling into bed with Libby?
“August eleventh.”
“Congratulations, Heiress,” Jameson called back, his voice dripping with everything but felicitations. “I guess you had the good fortune of being born on the right day. Mystery solved.”
Yea but the clues came from your middle names when you were born way befire she dies like the ckearing couldnt have been made then
but then again he couldnt have known averys b day back then either it has to mean something else
“Facial recognition,” Xander said. “It didn’t matter which one of us found this place. Without you, we wouldn’t have been able to get past the wall.”
But this… us…” He swallowed. “It can’t happen, Avery. I’ve seen the way Jameson looks at you.” He didn’t say that he wouldn’t let another girl come between them. He didn’t have to.
