You Deserve Each Other

If I’m not ingesting pumpkin, I’m breathing it in like an addict, lining every available surface of my home with candles that smell like food. Apple pie, pumpkin pie, pumpkin spice, apple pumpkin.

I look at him and think I’ll kill you. It shows on my face.

This— But— I— !!!

“Yeah, better ease into those warmer temperatures. It’ll get a lot hotter once you arrive at your destination.” I’m about to wail.

I’m a modest and innocent puritan lady, and he’s out to steal my virtue.

“You two are assholes!” she calls back. “You deserve each other.” I send her a thumbs-up. “Thanks!”

The purpose of Deborah bearing children was so that she’d have minions obligated to do her bidding.

One day that word will evolve, filling up with the people we bring into this world together. I can’t wait to see what kind of magic we spin with that word, how many shapes it will take.
