The coffered ceilings were at least ten feet tall, and the far wall was nothing but glass looking out over the lake.
Ok my ceilings are that high, & the main room is one long rectangle of living space with floor to ceiling glass & glass balcony, I’ll admit it looks nice at first, then you recluse most of your views a car park & shops, but hey they’re close, which is a bonus, & the park & beaches are a 5 minute walk away, even for me.
I still hate it though, I love my birds & my home, where I was living will always be my home, 25yrs in the same place, so many memories & then all my birds, all gone, because some Ahole in the govt decided it was too dangerous to live there anymore! It was one, admittedly large, flood in 25ys, there were 2 others, but they were baby floods. But I didn’t have a choice, they were going to force me out & if I waited I may of missed out on the ‘buyouts’ as they only had so much money & when it was gone, it became ‘tough luck’ but I’m still crying over it every single day & getting invested into doing anything is SO difficult as I just want to ignore reality.
Yes I know it’s depression, severe depression & I probably should be getting help for it, but I can’t afford a shrink.
