“I’m tired of wondering why I don’t get cast. Is it my talent? Is it my preparation? Or is it my skin color. I mean—they say they want diverse casting, you know? But what they really mean is a really tan white girl and not an actual woman of color.”

Weird. She's Sadie's sister, right? But not once in the last book was it mentioned that Sadie was anything but another boring white girl, and if it was, it was purely in passing. If you're going to have a diverse cast, you should celebrate it, at least a little.
