I’ve never been afraid to die. Or to love, for that matter. Aren’t they the same?
That’s right, baby, come to me. Let yourself think I’ll save you from the darkness when I’m really gonna drown you in it.
Chase me. Hurt me. Fuck me.
“I can be your God, princess. Wanna get down on your knees and worship me?”
The devil doesn’t come to you as an ugly monster with fire breathing out of his ears. No. He is sent wrapped in a breathtaking smile and pretty eyes that can see to your soul.
You don’t always need hearts and flowers to prove you love someone. Sometimes you need each other’s names carved in blood.
I realize I want that. The fighting. The passion. The love. I want someone to love me so much that I make them crazy. Anything less would be boring. Lifting my hand to my throat, I flinch when I realize that’s exactly what Deke and I have. I wanted him to fuck me, and now I want him to love me.
“I’m gonna kill him.” My heart begins to pound at his words. “Why?” I can’t help but ask. His blue eyes move from the cut to my eyes. His jaw sharpens when he says. “Because he touched you. And I am the only man allowed to touch you.”
“Don’t you worry she’ll kill you in your sleep?” Cole just smiles. He’d probably get off on that.
She was once nonexistent to me. Just like she was to everyone else. But I see her now. And she’s the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen.
