I hope that you find the light despite the darkness in every book and with every couple.
I grin. “I want to be your first.” “My first in what?” My thumb wipes the moisture under her eyes. “In everything, Butterfly.” “Then I want your firsts, too.” She juts her chin. “Promise me.” “Promise.”
Silver. My beautiful little doll. Welcome to my world. You’ll find it fun. Eventually.
“You can’t win against me, Butterfly.”
“Hate me all you want, but keep our promise. All your firsts are mine.”
I pushed Kimberly away because if I hadn’t, Mum would’ve hurt her in some way.
I’m a lady. Just like Mum. Papa sat me down and told me I didn’t have to follow her instructions or be threatened by her. But Papa didn’t see what I saw. Papa wasn’t there.
“I did. We were with Papa and Uncle Jonathan.”
Why does kissing him feel so good? It’s not supposed to, right? I hate him.
Maybe I had some issues before, but that darkness — that first taste of chaos — sealed the deal for me.
I’d say I’m always hungry for more. More information, more books, more chaos.
And it’s not only because of that kiss or the almost-kiss before that. It all started that night. It started with chaos and refused to end.
It’s a game we play. Pretending the other doesn’t exist.
And I already made a promise to myself that there would never be another moment where I’m weak. I did it once. Never again.
It’ll be chaos I can’t control, like when I was a kid, standing at the edge of the pool.
Since that day he kissed me, I knew Cole wasn’t for me. I just knew it. The moment he compared me to others, blatantly declaring I was only one of his conquests, I decided I would be the conquest he’d never win.
Screw him. He lost the right to those the moment he didn’t save his firsts for me.
“For your beautiful eyes, Queens.” “Eww. Don’t ever try that again with me. I literally want to throw up.”
recognised I might have a stalker.
Or those friends who make her look stupid when she’s anything but.
All my demons are my friends. They sit with me when I plan and they’re there when I watch my pretty little doll.
I’ve always thought sleep is a waste of time. Why sleep when you can read?
She killed the small living part in my chest, and now, I’ll kill her in return.
I might not like Silver Queens, but I’ve always considered her something sacred. And mine. She ruined that. She ruined everything.
If I talk to them, they’ll start thinking they can be my friends. No one can. That would mean they’ll get close enough to read through me, and I won’t allow that.
“I’ll take good care of you, baby sister.”
Now that they’ve had their adventure, each will go back to their respective world. And that’s when Silver will be mine. This time, I’ll swallow her so much into my chaos, she’ll never find a way out.
When I grow old and my memory starts demanding to delete files to be able to remember others, I’d choose her stupid journal over books by philosophers and psychologists any day.
Chaos. She’s fucking chaos.
“Happy birthday, Butterfly,” he whispers against my ear. “You’re now mine.”
That means I’ll be the prime minister’s son while Silver is the daughter. There’s no way in fuck we’ll ever be able to have a public relationship.
I live to see that expression on her face.
I’m persistently out to destroy her innocence, and it’s for a reason.
You’re flawed and you hate those flaws, so you use the attitude and the looks to make everyone believe you’re a perfect human they wish they could turn into.
“Here’s the thing, Butterfly, I can’t stop.” “Why not?” “Because you’re my chaos, and I can’t survive without chaos.” “I’m chaos?” “The worst of all. The most beautiful of all. And you know what? You might as well be the deadliest.”
If I even remotely want to have him, then I need to be his chaos. His only chaos.
“I hate you,” I tell him. He smiles as his lips brush against my temple and stay there. “Not as much as you want me, Butterfly.”
I’m a director, but my sets are real and my actors are actual people.
Silver has someone who wants her chaos. Just like me.
“Because I’m your chaos?” “Because you’re the reason I look forward to new days.”
Silver wrenched me from the water, not only now, but also ten years ago. My chaos. My damnation.
Why did you jump me, push me to the bench, and cry your glitter tears on me? Why did you refuse to let me go and promise me your firsts? If you want to blame anyone, blame yourself. You made me obsessed with you to the point I can’t fucking breathe until I see you.”
“Daddy.” Eli tugs on Aiden’s trousers, awe filling his features. “She’s so pretty.”
