Kindle Notes & Highlights
He only knew he was finished when he pushed through a panel of something cool, harder than glass, and heard the thunk of a door falling shut behind him.
This is just careless editing / revising. I mean, the guy was wearing a sense-canceling blindfold. The author carefully described how he was deprived of his ability of feeling cold or hearing anything. And suddenly he’s relying on his senses to know the challenge is over? It kind of shatters the story internal world and turns me off the book a little. An editor should have easily spotted that.
