There is plenty of room in between these feelings, but the important distinction here is between “want” and “should.”

I need you to understand that even if I want to do something, the second it becomes a thing I'm *supposed* to do the want disappears. It is called Pathological Demand Avoidance and it makes the distinction between want and should basically nonexistent. I put playing Sims on my to do list because having it there means I no longer want to do it.
