“I delivered almost thirty letters today before I found out that the villagers were illiterate and sending an empty envelope back and forth just to make fun of us,” Alexis spat furiously.

“Argh! Yer maw's got baws ‘n yer da' loves it!” The Bard shouted

The others had a sudden vision of the Monk skipping down the road with a skeletal smile on his face, fingers wiggling as if he were gripping a handful of snakes. Also appearing in all of their premonitions were angry guards with drawn swords chasing the man.

Joe couldn’t help himself. “Put it over there, shnookums.” The crossbow bolt in his foot made him screech,

“Odd.” Joe looked over at Alexis. “They are spending a ton of money to mess with a friend?” “You don’t get out much, do ya, Joe?” Poppy chuckled almost nostalgically. “That’s what buddies do, man. Gotta mess with your best friends or they don’t think you care.” “Men are strange,” Alexis whispered

For lunch, he ate some dried meat that had been stored in his codpiece. He grimaced and shuddered; that hadn’t been a fun thought. Joe decided right there that he would never tell anyone what part of his outfit was the spatial storage–just in case he ever needed to give them some food.

“No chance of me taking those.” Joe shook his head and denied him instantly. An important lesson he had learned in the army was never sign for anything if you didn’t have to.

Jaxon had been tossed into a prisoner of war area and had been going wild learning the weaknesses of all the Wolfmen he could get his hands on. This had also apparently been good training for the healer that had been assigned to follow him, going by the man’s exhausted face. He had cried tears of joy when Joe stopped by to pick up Jaxon, and a fearful cheer had erupted from the Wolfmen that had been captured as well.
