Notice five things, bask in all the reasons you love them, and then sit in a grateful stupor over what a charmed individual you are.

Overwhelm exists in the future: “I have six trillion emails to answer, two kids to pick up at school, a blueberry pie to bake, four client calls, and a cat who just had kittens.” Staying present while thoughtfully answering each email or while rolling out the pie crust or while getting a towel and cleaning up after the cats—each of these moments is its own deal, packed with so much to be grateful for and enjoy.
