An excuse is simply a challenge that you’ve decided has power over you.
Everything in our “reality” is reflected back to us depending on how we choose to perceive it. Your “flaws” are either strikes against you or part of what make you unique and awesome—it’s your choice. Find beauty in everything about yourself instead of beating yourself up or deciding you suck because you’re not like everyone else.
Not only is loving yourself a more joyful way to walk through life, but you never know what brilliance might sprout up from your temporary failures. It’s possible you will wind up creating something far more beautiful than what you set out to create, and that you would never have even known existed, if you hadn’t “screwed up.”
When you feel frustrated or upset by a person or a situation, remember that your reactions are not the truth about the person or situation, they are just your feelings about them. All you have to do is change your perception and you are free.
When you stand up for yourself, you give everyone the opportunity to grow taller too.
When you succumb to fear, you are under the illusion that you can predict the future.
