She was in a field miles wide, with all the room in the world to stretch her legs.
They came together. She threw eager arms around her mother, who nuzzled her.
The wind became a dragon twining around her, brushing against her skin like a cat. Stay. Live.
“No smiling. This isn’t something to fucking smile about,” he snarled at her, his fists tightening. “You were almost gone.
“You are never to do that again,” he said between his teeth. “Do you understand?”
“Fuck you,” he snapped. He thrust his face down to hers, eyes flaring to lava and features hardening. “You’re mine. And you. Can’t. Leave.”
“You are aware, aren’t you, that you can’t have slaves any longer. You know, abolition.
“Human history, human terms,” he snarled. “They mean nothing to me.”
“Okay then, big guy,” she said, soft and easy.
“All I know is you’re mine to keep and protect. You can’t fade away, and you can’t die. I won’t let you.”
How could she be so damn charmed by such a primitive thug?
maybe,” she suggested, “you could try not ordering me around sometimes. You know, just until you get bored and let me go.”
He had grown heavy-lidded as she stroked him, but at that his narrowed gaze snapped up to her face. She smiled at him,
“What if I don’t get bored?” he said. “What if I d...

“You’re remarkable. No, don’t!” he said, as she remembered and began to dampen the glow.
Hey, am I the Bionic Woman?”
We’re also going to talk about why you’re not right in the head and if you have any more IDs or stashes of cash hidden anywhere.”
And just because he liked me but he didn’t like you doesn’t mean he’s a dumbass Elf!”
“You’re not afraid of me at all anymore, are you?”
“It gives me all kinds of license to do bad things to you. With you. On you. In you.”
“That’s my girl,” he whispered.
“No!” she cried, stiffening. He froze. God love him, that dragon didn’t even breathe. “I don’t have anything else to wear,”
He whispered, “I’m going to eat you until you scream.”
He was groaning in her ear with every thrust as they mated like the animals they were.
It was then her shattered consciousness caught up with what he had growled in her ear as he fucked her. Mine, he had said.
“Not deep enough,” he groaned. “Got to get deeper.”
He had to drive into her so deep he never came back out.
He withdrew his hand from her pelvis to brush the tangled cloud of her hair out of the way as he tried to see her face. “Ssh,” he murmured. “Easy.”
She looked as beautiful and fragile as cut crystal.
“You demolished me. I had no idea anybody could do the things you did. And I want to know how soon we can do it again.”
“Don’t make me regret telling you that.” “I’ll try not to take too much advantage,” he said.
She ate while he tried to run his fingers through her tangles. “We did a number on your hair,” he said. He sent a gentle pulse of Power through his hands and her hair smoothed out.
Good girl. If she had endurance as well as speed, they might be okay.
This was all his fault. She was in danger again because of him.
Don’t worry about me, big guy. I can beat any pace you set.
Buck up, girly girl . He gave her his machete smile. Things are just getting interesting.
Damn, he was proud of her.
Dragos sat behind her and pulled her against his chest.
His eyes blazed. “The fuck are you doing?” he snapped. “You won’t be captured? Then we fight. We don’t give up.”
She struggled to prop herself up on her elbows, staring up openmouthed at the appearance of the enormous dragon who stood over her.
He tilted down a horned triangular head that was the length of her body so that he could look at her with eyes that were great pools of molten lava.
“That’s my long, scaly, reptilian tail. And it’s bigger than anyone else’s,” Dragos said in a voice that was deeper, larger, yet still recognizable as his. One huge eyelid dropped in an unmistakable wink.
He bared his teeth in a vicious challenge. “BRING IT ON, YOU SON OF A BITCH.”
“Dragos,” she said. He looked at her. She jerked her head toward the retreating army. “Go.” He needed no further encouragement.
None of their enemies made it off the plain alive.
“Did you kill the Fae horses?” The whuffling stopped. Dragos said in a cautious voice, “Was I not supposed to?”
“It just wasn’t their fault.” “If it helps any, I was hungry and ate one.” Another whuffle.
His triangular head came down in front of her, golden eyes keen. “You don’t need to look over there,” he said in a gentle voice.
“Choices are better than orders.” “You can ride,” he told her. “Or I can carry you.”
Giving her plenty of time to adjust, he wrapped the long claws of one foot around her with such precision he didn’t cause so much as a scratch or pinch.
