Recovery: Freedom from Our Addictions

I begin to settle into an awareness of the pointlessness of impatience: a defect and constant of my character, which amounts to me thinking that things should happen more quickly than they do, which is an odd mindset, to have an internal template for what the world should be and then to try to drag the outer world into alignment through terse commentary

This is something that I absolutely need to work on. It IS an odd mindset to believe that my timing should be everyone's timing!

It is not my job to adjudicate the world’s people and supply them with a template for how they should be. In fact it’s none of my business. There is only one human being I’m in control of and that is me, and that is where the effort must be concentrated.
