Khalaji ducked his head toward him. “Your coat.” Twisting, Seong-Jae caught his coat and drew the heavy knit fabric around. The rusted parts of the door had caught the thick felted material and pulled at the fibers until they puffed into a fuzzy patch marring the smooth black. He shrugged and let it go. “It will mend.”
He held his breath, taking in thin, shallow washes through his nostrils, and tugged his phone from his coat. Activating the camera app, he framed the interior of the closet and snapped several photos,
Okay, I haven't commented on much of the incorrect procedure because I don't wanna be all naggy about fiction, but if a cop takes a picture of a crime scene with a phone, the ENTIRE PHONE goes into evidence.
