When management has to spend time putting out fires and adjusting alignment, the company is essentially spinning its wheels but going nowhere—or worse, moving quickly but in reverse. Nobody’s three-year plan calls for constant realignment.
When an employee understands that their actions over the next three years will have an impact, by making even just one of the aims written into the Vivid Vision come to fruition, that person is motivated to make that happen.
Again, the reason companies spend so much time managing people, holding them accountable and running a permission-based system, is because nobody knows where they’re going.
Of course, as a customer, you are never just buying a product or service. What you’re really doing is entering into a relationship. This is why branding is so important. You want your reputation as a company to be a strong one. This will help you make new relationships, while maintaining current ones.
