Underrated part of this book is the police procedural aspect. Really incredible stuff for anyone who has watched shows like The Wire, etc.

Imagine so true. Probably similar to going to war. Scary that it's that way in our own country.

My favorite scene in The Wire was the investigation of the murder where the only word used (repeatedly) was "F***." That was a great scene.
