“Where does average exist in your organization?”
Culturize: To cultivate a community of learners by behaving in a kind, caring, honest, and compassionate manner in order to challenge and inspire each member of the school community to become more than they ever thought possible.
In what ways can we personally invest in our students and each other so every member of a school community feels like they have a personal champion?
When you draw people in and make them want to be around you, you are a leader.
You are a leader because of your ability to inspire others, to build their confidence, to influence their thinking and, more importantly, their behavior.
If you want people to be less anxious, provide more clarity.
Pay attention to how you say no and what you do afterward.
In his book Above the Line, Coach Meyer stated the following: “How you feel is not the best guide for what you should do… press pause and ask yourself what this situation requires of you.”
They recognize that every interaction with a student, parent, or staff member is one single moment to inspire more positive interactions and to impact every person they encounter in a positive way.
You become what you believe.
More than anything, I wanted them to look forward to coming to school every day. I wanted them to feel valued,
Take time to smile/laugh and encourage others to have fun. When it is no longer fun to go to work, it is time to do something else.
Our desire should never settle in simply making an impact; we should strive to make the greatest impact we possibly can.
